Land Trust Day at the Capitol

On March 29th, Five Valleys and other Montana land trusts and conservation organizations were invited to participate in Land Trust Day at the Capitol, an annual event to promote land trust work.

Six members of the Five Valleys staff, and two of our board members, John Rimel and Mike Foote, travelled to Helena to meet with legislators, talk about conservation and promote land trust work across the state.

Land Trust representatives were greeted by Representative Denise Hayman, enjoyed a lunch provided by Helena's Prickly Pear Land Trust and met with Governor Bullock in the afternoon.

Thank you to the community members and supporters, and Missoula County Commissioner Dave Strohmaier who came out on our behalf. And thank you to the Governor, Montana congressmen and congresswomen, and the Capitol staffers that made the day possible.
