We are pleased to announce that we are working on the renewal of our Land Trust Alliance accreditation.
The Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance, conducts an extensive review of each applicant’s policies and programs. In 2008 Five Valleys was among the nation's first land trusts accredited by the Commission. Every four years we undergo the process of renewal of our accreditation.
Five Valleys believes that maintaining our accreditation honors our commitment to integrity, transparency, and good stewardship.
The Land Trust Accreditation Commission invites public input on pending applications. Comments must be in writing and signed, and must relate to how Five Valleys complies with the LTA's Land Trust Standards and Practices. These standards address the ethical and technical operation of a land trust.
