National Public Lands Day on Mount Dean Stone

Join us for a day of trail building and fun on the Miller Creek side of Mount Dean Stone as we celebrate National Public Lands Day!

When:  Saturday, September 28th; 8:30am - 1:30pm
Where: Miller Creek, Mount Dean Stone

At 8:30am, a shuttle bus to the work site will depart from the back parking lot of the Missoula Fresh Market on Reserve (3801 S. Reserve Street). The workday will go from 9:00am until noon, when participants will hear the latest Mount Dean Stone project updates while enjoying a pulled pork sandwich lunch from The Notorious P.I.G (a vegetarian option will also be available). Volunteers will also receive a free REI Steward tee shirt. Registration is required. All ages and abilities welcome!

This Saturday is supposed to be chilly, so please dress accordingly in work clothes and closed-toe footwear, and bring gloves and a water bottle. If you have transportation needs that a school bus shuttle is unable to accommodate, please call Lena at 406.549.0755 or email lena@fvlt.org to coordinate alternative transportation.

Five Valleys is excited to be partnering with REI, Dick Anderson Construction, Knife River and the Mount Dean Stone Committee partners for this day of fun and community service.
