Mission Valley Easement Completed

Carol Van Tassel grew up on the Mission Valley property she calls home. Her father farmed the land and her grandfather before that. She is working with Five Valleys to protect her share of the family place, 40 acres of productive farmland with two pothole wetlands. Just south of Ninepipes Wildlife Refuge, the conservation easement will protect the land and water that numerous species depend on including as Trumpeter Swan, Caspian Tern, Barrow’s Goldeneye and Peregrine Falcon.
