Kim Williams Trail Extended

Five Valleys Land Trust donated 35 acres (labeled "Jacobs Family Property") of land
near the confluence of the Clark Fork and Blackfoot Rivers to Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks (FWP) on September 30. The property will be used to extend the Kim Williams Trail from Missoula to the new Milltown State Park and neighboring communities.
The Jacobs family agreed to a bargain sale of the property to Five Valleys in 2010. Five Valleys members, the City and County of Missoula, and FWP all contributed to the purchase of the property and the management of weeds over the past year. FWP will develop trails and a park entrance on the property in conjunction with the overall park development plan.
