Community Events:

Bird Banding at the Confluence

When: June, July and August

Where: The Rock Creek Confluence east side trail

For anyone looking to get up close and personal with our native feathered friends, look no further than the Confluence this summer! We've partnered with the University of Montana's Bird Ecology Lab to have a bird banding station at the Confluence for a seventh year of science, community engagement and fun. Members of the public, of all ages, are invited to the research station at either 7:30am or 9:00am on specific days throughout the summer. Click here for more information and the 2022 schedule.

50th Anniversary Community Celebration

When: Saturday, October 1st

Where: The Line Ranch, Mount Dean Stone, Missoula

Save the date and help us celebrate 50 years of conservation in Western Montana! Mark your calendars for this free, family-friendly community celebration at the Line Ranch on the slopes of Mount Dean Stone. Stay tuned - more details to come!

Volunteering Opportunities:

Big Sky Brewing Company Summer Concert Series

When: June, July and August

Where: Big Sky Brewing Company Amphitheater

After a two-year hiatus, concerts are back! Support conservation in Western Montana while pouring beer and sell drink tokens at the Big Sky Brewing Company Summer Concert Series. In partnership with our friends at Run Wild Missoula and MTB Missoula we'll be at every concert at the Big Sky Brewing Amphitheater this summer!

Five Valleys will receive a portion of the drink sales proceeds, which will directly support our conservation and stewardship efforts. Learn more and register here.
