Call For Submissions: Five Valleys Photo Contest Now Open

Are you a photographer with a love of western Montana's open lands? We want you!

Five Valleys Land Trust will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2022. To help honor this legacy, Five Valleys and our friends Geoff Sutton, Michael Gallacher, and Marcy James are presenting and facilitating a photo contest to celebrate the community open spaces and public lands that Five Valleys has helped to protect over our long history.

The winning photos will be showcased in a gallery open house event in late September, for National Public Lands Day. The 12 winning shots will also be featured in a Five Valleys 50th anniversary commemorative calendar. Help showcase the breathtaking landscape of western Montana, feature our community's connection to the open lands, rivers, and trails that we depend upon, and share your talents with a broad swath of our community while you support conservation.

Details

Submission Deadline: August 15th, 2021

Each photographer can enter up to 3 high resolution photographs for consideration. Photos must depict one of the properties, waterways, or regions that Five Valleys has helped to protect.

Twelve submissions will be selected to be featured in a Five Valleys Land Trust 50th Anniversary commemorative calendar.

The 12 winners will each receive a $100 honorarium.

Community members will have the opportunity to purchase prints of the winning photos, printed by Paper & Ink, with proceeds going to support Five Valleys.
