Want to connect with your western Montana conservation lands? Join us for our 2024 events and volunteering opportunities! This list will be updated throughout the season:
Enjoy an early spring Saturday on private conservation lands! During this Hands on the Land workday we will be assisting the Boehmler family by replacing 1/4-mile of fencing. The project will help wildlife move more easily across the landscape, beautify the property, and make it easier to manage.
The scenic Boehmler family conservation easement is just a short drive from Missoula, located in LaValle Creek north of the Missoula airport. Five Valleys will provide lunch and refreshments to our volunteers. Please dress for changing fall weather, bring gloves and sun/wind/rain protection, as well as any fencing tools you may have. Directions and further information will be emailed to RSVP'd volunteers a few days before the event.
Please RSVP to Mari at mari@fvlt.org by Wednesday, April 24th.
Join us on May 2nd and 3rd for a day of giving through Missoula Gives and Bitterroot Gives! Missoula Gives and Bitterroot Gives, an initiative of the Missoula Community Foundation, is a 26-hour celebration of the Missoula and Ravalli communities and the nonprofit organizations that help make them great. This giving event encourages communities to support their local nonprofits at any giving level.

Help get the Rock Creek Confluence ready for spring! There are big things happening at the Confluence this year, and you can help take part! During this Hands on the Land workday will be joining forces with Boy Scout Troop 1911 to help pull weeds and complete other spring cleaning activities.
The Confluence is located approximately 26 miles east of Missoula, along Rock Creek Road. Volunteers should dress for changing weather, bring a water bottle, gloves and sun/wind/rain protection. Five Valleys will provide snacks and drinks and can coordinate carpooling from Missoula.
Please RSVP to Mari at mari@fvlt.org by Wednesday, May 8th.
This year, join us as we mark our first event inside the Adams Center! We are excited to move venues from the 50-yard line to the court to celebrate conservation in western Montana with our community.
Our Banquet is our largest event of the year and includes an exciting live and silent auction, a delicious dinner, and the opportunity to mingle with friends and neighbors while raising the funds needed to protect and steward this extraordinary place. Learn more.
The scenic Boyer Ranch is a historic, working family ranch located in the foothills north of Frenchtown. During this workday, we will assist the landowner with pulling weeds while we enjoy this property's beautiful scenery and view of Grass Valley.
Participants should dress for the weather and bring gloves and any weed-digging tools or clippers they may have. Snacks and drinks will be provided; Five Valleys can coordinate carpooling from Missoula.
Please RSVP to Mari at mari@fvlt.org by Wednesday, May 29th. Directions and further information will be emailed to RSVP'd volunteers a few days before the event.
