Community Conservation at the Lincoln Community River Park

Have you spent a summer day by the Blackfoot River at the Lincoln Community River Park yet?

Thanks to a donation from neighbor Perk Perkins, the parking lot of the park is now enclosed with a beautiful new fence. Pete Dempster of Blue Tick Construction spent two days last August removing the old fence and building a new one. Afterwards, Mark Smith helped level the parking lot with a load of gravel. Throughout the year, Ron McDunn of Sonny’s Septic helps keep the park looking clean and neat. Thank you Perk, Pete, Mark, and Ron!

Five Valleys manages the Park for non-motorized public access, management of weeds, and wildlife habitat in partnership with the Lincoln community. Located just a half mile from downtown Lincoln, this 9-acre park along the Blackfoot River is a popular place for locals and visitors alike. The park boasts a great swimming hole (when the water levels are higher), as well as places to cast a line or go for a stroll. Five Valleys acquired the park in 2017, through the efforts and generosity of Paul Roos. While the park is still a bit snowy, we’re already daydreaming about summer days on the water.
