For the past eight years, Five Valleys has benefitted from the work of Alice Jones. As our Staff Attorney, Alice drafted conservation easements, supported Conservation Project Managers working on new land conservation projects, oversaw real estate transactions, assisted Five Valleys’ stewardship staff with complex conservation easement interpretation and enforcement issues, and so much more. Alice made our work better and more sound through her thoughtful manner and passion for conservation and her careful, considerate, and forward-thinking legal advice.
This month, Alice is transitioning away from her role as Five Valleys’ Staff Attorney. Alice has joined the law firm of Weinberg & Hromadka, PLLC, a private-public interest law firm that specializes in land use, land conservation, and real estate law. Alice is excited to share the valuable knowledge, lessons, and experience she gained during her time with Five Valleys with other land trusts in Montana and in Washington State, where she is also licensed.
While we will miss her immensely as one of our staff, we are fortunate that she will not be moving far away. Alice will rent an office in the Five Valleys Land Trust building so that she can continue to support Five Valleys’ important land conservation work and maintain her close connections with the Five Valleys community.
We are so grateful for Alice’s many, many contributions to our excellence as an organization. We wish her all the best in her adventures ahead, and look forward to witnessing how her growth will benefit conservation across our region. Thank you, Alice!
